"Xigui Ferry" is set in the ancient tea garden in Xigui Village, Lincang, Yunnan Province, and tells the story of a love bonded over tea.
Su Mingwei, the descendant of the ancient family tea garden "Sujia Laolin", adheres to the traditional craftsmanship of Xigui tea, and guards the endangered tea garden alone after the death of her father; Shen Yizhou, an investor from Shanghai, returns to his hometown because of his childhood and Xigui. On the surface, he is investigating and investing, but in fact he is looking for the tea recipes and memories left by his grandmother.
When they first met, the two had a fierce collision between the concepts of "traditional craftsmanship" and "modern business." However, they managed to overcome difficulties during spring tea picking, tea fighting competitions and other tea events, and gradually discovered the deep connection between each other and the land. When the covetousness of tea merchants from other places and the entanglement of commercial interests struck, they put aside their differences. In the process of protecting the ancient tea garden and inheriting the tea culture, they uncovered the fetters of the past left by their ancestors, and let their love be like returning to tea in the past. After wind and rain, it finally becomes mellow and sweet.
This is a love that grows in the fragrance of tea, and it is also a choice about perseverance and inheritance.
