Reborn in 1973: Hunting Changbai Mountain with Daily Sign-Ins

{Period setting + rural Northeast China + one heroine + pets + sign-in + mountain foraging and hunting + digging for ginseng and fishing + food + business} With his dying breath, the last thing Zhang Xi sees is the “home” that has long since fallen apart. Because he kept helping his family back home, his wife divorced him, and his child cut ties with him for good. Who could have imagined that his parents would be literally angered to death by his younger brother Zhang Le and his family? His nephew's second wife got embroiled in a scandal over an affair, and her ex-husband stormed their home, delivering the final blow to their parents. His older sister Zhang Hong was like a bloodsucking leech, mooching off their parents with her whole family while refusing to lift a finger to help!

He gave them everything he had, and in the end they treated it as his duty. What did he get in return? His parents' graves were overgrown with weeds, and he worked himself to death on the job!

Given another chance at life, standing at a crossroads of fate, Zhang Xi feels all the warmth in his heart turn cold! He snatches back the rural assignment that was supposed to go to his younger brother, then turns around and forces Zhang Le to take the coveted permanent job at the steel mill! The whole family erupts, calling him a complete idiot! But clutching his train ticket to Ji Province, he's grinning so hard his back teeth are showing!

When he arrives in Erdaohe, Changbai Mountain, for his rural assignment, he's in for a surprise! Hares bounce through the grass, gray squirrels dart through the trees, young roe deer stare blankly, and wild boars roam everywhere. Honey badgers are ferocious, weasels are cunning, leopards are vicious, black bears eat people, and even a tiger's piss can scare the life out of you!

While everyone else does everything they can to escape this barren wilderness, he chooses to stake his life in the frozen wasteland, scratching out a living in the forests and fields!
