This novel consists of three short mysteries. No romance, just pure suspense and deduction, written entirely for personal enjoyment. Please read with caution if that’s not your thing!!
"A House of Fortune":
On the first workday after the holidays, the domineering, arrogant Zheng Hongguang wasted no time in picking a fight with his eldest son. Before long, he was found dead in his office, with his eldest son right beside him.
His second son, who had gone far away, suddenly returned to the country. His second wife was constantly sneaking around with other men under the pretense of going shopping, and his youngest daughter was caught up in an illicit love triangle. A string of murders left the whole family terrified.
A young woman, two police officers, and an old lady joined forces to investigate and ultimately solve the mystery.
"A Deadly Journey":
While traveling, Luo Wen meets a strange woman who insists that she has killed someone.
A blackmail letter appears, an art teacher dies, and a husband and wife are attacked one after the other. Luo Wen seems to have fallen into a vast trap.
Who is the killer, and why are these people being murdered?
To unravel the mysteries, Luo Wen has no choice but to abandon his travel plans and set out in search of the truth.
"The Lucky Unlucky Man":
The unemployed Mo De happens to come across a sum of money and decides to use it to take a vacation abroad. Just as he thinks his luck has finally turned, he’s hit by a series of disasters: car accidents, murder, fire, and kidnapping.
