The Urban Appraiser’s Comeback

Wei Han is an obscure apprentice appraiser at a stone gambling market, living at the bottom of the urban world and suffering workplace exploitation. A bloodstained jadeite necklace and half of a broken piece of jade reveal family secrets buried for twenty years. When the daughter of a multinational conglomerate arrives with the other half, Wei Han discovers he can see the hidden patterns inside raw stones. Meanwhile, a villain determined to seize the mine’s access code throws every obstacle in his way. His System activates and assigns timed missions to crack the code. Failure will cost him his chance at revenge, and may even get his entire family killed. With limited abilities as a low-level apprentice, Wei Han must contend not only with the villain’s schemes but also with traps that leave outsiders misunderstanding him. His relationship with the villain keeps deteriorating as they clash, while time is running out to avenge his family and the villain steps up the race to seize the code. Wei Han ultimately gets his revenge, only to discover that his family’s past is more complicated than he imagined, and that victory comes at a heavy price.
