[This story was inspired by the film Jurassic World: Rebirth. With this story, I pay my deepest respects to the Jurassic series and its enduring reverence for life.]
[A passion project, updated at a snail's pace whenever I can.]
In the middle of the 21st century, the ambitions of Norma Genetic Dynamics (N.G.D.) quietly take root on an isolated island in the Atlantic. A magnificent prehistoric theme park is in fact a biotechnology testing ground built to serve the war effort. But after a storm, the original nightmare breaks free, turning the entire island into a place forbidden to humanity.
Ten years later, an elite mercenary squad codenamed "Prometheus" is ordered to infiltrate the island and recover the company's lost "property." At the same time, a documentary crew strays into the forbidden zone. Their cameras capture both its wonders and the moment hell breaks loose.
The two groups of survivors converge in a death maze teeming with prehistoric giants. They must draw on their respective expertise to struggle for survival against teeth and claws that have come hurtling across millions of years.
But they soon discover that the greatest dangers are not the ones they know, but the human conspiracies behind this disaster, and the nightmare at the root of it all, prowling in the depths of the island and making every giant beast tremble...
"They are there, not for anyone's pleasure, but simply because they exist, huge and terrifying."
I've only read a few chapters so far, but it feels like I'm watching a movie, so I'll keep reading.
It's great. It's the first time I've seen this type of dinosaur.
