Sharp-tongued, volatile bottom × ruthless top who forces his way in. Ever since the ancient war between divine beasts, a world fit for human life came into being. The divine beasts took up guardianship over their respective territories, keeping to themselves and gradually fading from human sight. They established the Celestial Realm in the heavens and laid down a law forbidding beasts from interfering in the affairs of the mortal world.
The five pillars of heaven, erected in antiquity, are on the verge of collapse. The Fusang Tree in the east has withered, the Sword Mound in the west has split, the southern Fire Wheel has dimmed, and the northern Tortoise Mirror has shattered. The remnants of Chaos have returned.
The only force capable of repairing the heavens, the True Nirvana Flame, survives within Feng Chao, the Lihuo True Phoenix.
Yet Feng Chao divides his final true feather in two:
· He places one half in the heart meridian of Xi, the keeper of the leaves, freeing him from a thousand-year-old shackle;
· He uses the other half to seal the Azure Dragon’s horn, keeping the Eastern Pole alive.
The price: Feng Chao has only half his lifespan left, and Chaos could consume him at any moment.
Zhulong, also known as Zhu Jiuyin, vows to guard Feng Chao without leaving his side, using the flame of his ghostly blue lantern as a binding seal.
A phoenix and a dragon take human form and infiltrate the four poles to investigate the rifts and mend the pillars of heaven, only to discover that the mastermind is Chaos itself, sealed away long ago.
When the final pillar of heaven collapses, Feng Chao offers up all of his one complete Nirvana Flame, and his body crumbles to ash.
Carrying that wisp of flame, Xi guards the Fusang Tree for a thousand years, waiting for a little red bird that will never fly back.
Feng Chao feels like he can get along with anyone he's with. I really like that little phoenix that transforms into a beast. It's not impossible for a beast to be a beast 😳
