Qinghe Hospital was founded in 1987. It was abandoned in 2003 due to "the collective resignation of medical staff for unknown reasons". In 2024, it was relaunched in a low-key manner by a medical group, with only three departments of internal medicine, surgery, and emergency department and supporting wards (3rd to 5th floors of the inpatient department) open. It claims to be "focused on the rehabilitation of chronic diseases," but in fact, many of the patients it receives have abnormal symptoms such as "memory lapses" and "recurrence of the same trauma." The protagonist Liu Feng is a recent graduate of the medical school. He entered the hospital through school recruitment and became a surgical intern. His accommodation was arranged in the dormitory building attached to the hospital (separated from the inpatient department by a narrow alley).
