Dark Currents Beneath the Pure White

"Sis, could you spare me something to eat?"

At the mouth of an alley on a rainy night, a handsome boy, drenched from head to toe, looks like an abandoned puppy. Su Jinxin, the flower shop owner, can't help but take pity on him and gives him the leftover buns.

"Sis, I'm cold."

He returns to her doorstep, his clear eyes leaving her nowhere to hide. Her heart melts completely, and she lets him stay for the night.

"Sis, you smell so nice." "Sis, how do you read this character?" "Sis, don't leave me..."

Innocent and dependent, he sticks close to her, bringing a sudden, sweet burden into her life. She teaches him to read, protects him, and pities all he has been through.

Until one late night, she wakes by chance.

From behind his half-closed bedroom door, she hears his lowered voice, cold and unfamiliar, speaking to someone on the phone:

"Proceed as planned. Don't let her find out anything before I return."

The call ends. He turns and meets her shocked gaze.

For a moment, panic flashes in his eyes. Then it gives way to a depth she can't understand. He speaks softly, but his tone has changed completely:

"Sis... you heard everything?"
