Crimson Princess: The Mad Princess Plots to Rule the Realm

[A mad, wicked princess × a fallen, stoic general]

He was Xie Yuanting, the brightest young general of the Great Ye. In a single night, his father died, his army was wiped out, and his pride was shattered. He became the son of a condemned traitor, despised by all.

She was Xiao Yanhui, the mad An Yang Princess who had murdered her mother and held power over the court. Stepping over the corpses of imperial envoys, she reached out to him with a bloodstained hand:

“Xie Yuanting, stay and be my medicinal guide. I will clear the name of your Northern Army.”

He thought it was a transaction in which each would get what they wanted. He endured the humiliation and drank the “antidote” she offered, only to discover that what she had hidden in her sleeve was a poison that would eat through his insides!

“Your Highness, if you mean to silence me, why pretend otherwise?!”

“When did I ever say this was an antidote?” Xiao Yanhui gripped his chin and forced him to drink the poisoned wine. Her smile was bewitching. “Of all those in this world who want the Xie family dead, I am first in line.”

“, But as for the one who wants my life,” she said, tasting the poisoned blood at her lips before kissing the sharp scar on his throat, their breaths mingling as she whispered like a lover, “who else could I possibly choose but you?”
