Su Nianyin, the 283rd descendant of the Knife-on-Credit trade, was born able to see the "threads of karma" and specializes in collecting debts from the dead.
Her grandfather left her a death list as his final bequest: if she fails to collect 99 debts owed to the dead before turning twenty-five, the backlash will kill her.
The Xie family of Nancheng suddenly sends ten Rolls-Royces: "Miss Su, please honor the blood pact marriage agreement made a century ago."
Xie Shichen, heir to the Xie family, has an ancient dragon soul sealed inside him. Rumor has it that only the bloodline of the Knife-on-Credit trade can break the seal.
At their first meeting, his golden eyes narrow slightly. "My terms: become my fiancee, and I'll keep you safe."
From then on, Su Nianyin collects souls with her knife by day, delivering face-slapping to scumbags; at night, he pins her against the wall. "You've collected all your debts. Now it's time to claim my heart."
When the Blood Moon Cult hunts her, enemies from her past life awaken, and her biological father tries to sacrifice her to resurrect an evil dragon
She cuts through fate with a single slash. "I'll rewrite my own karma!"
His dragon soul awakens, and he draws her into his arms. "You rewrite the world. I'll just make sure you're spoiled rotten."
