On June 18, 1997, Sichuan and Chongqing officially separated, and the Chen family's small family was also divided into two. The younger sister followed her mother back to live in Chengdu, while the older brother stayed in Chongqing and continued to live with his father.
The young brother and sister don't know why Sichuan and Chongqing separated, let alone why their parents divorced. They only know that they are good brothers and sisters who love each other but dislike each other all their lives, and they are also old Sichuan forever.
Since then, Chen Yujiang has been climbing up and down the mountain in Chongqing to eat Jiugongge, while Chen Yuting has been cooking mandarin duck pot in Yima Pingchuan in Chengdu. The two brothers and sisters have started a similar but different urban life in Sichuan and Chongqing.
Eat some skewers, fry some junk stocks, play some mahjong... A picture of urban life in Sichuan and Chongqing unfolds. As the brother and sister grow up, it is also a picture of the changing times.
In a moment of laughter and tears, twenty years later, the "Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle" began to take shape. Sichuan and Chongqing moved from competition to cooperation, opening the door, tearing down walls, and promoting group development. As old Sichuan brothers and sisters, they also gained love and career under this favorable trend, and continued to live a prosperous life, just like the hot pot in Sichuan and Chongqing.

It is a very good book. It tells the history of the separation and reunification of Sichuan and Chongqing from Xiaojia's point of view. The writing is concise and has strong regional characteristics. Some places make people laugh and cry, but they are also sad but not sad. It is a rare short story and is worth recommending.
It's a good-looking story about a family's development with the times.
Finally I saw a book describing Sichuan and Chongqing! It's quite down-to-earth, in line with the characteristics of our Sichuan and Chongqing people, and very beautiful.
As an indigenous Sichuanese, I finally saw a life record that records the changes in Sichuan and Chongqing times and the fireworks in the streets. Very friendly and immersive. Personally, I think that in order for the novel to reach more readers, Mandarin annotations in parentheses should be added after sentences that people from Sichuan and Chongqing can understand.
The language is vivid and humorous!
It is a novel worth reading!
The author writes very well. This book is full of local characteristics and very interesting.
The author's writing style is very good, and I feel very immersed when reading it.
Very well written! Both the words and emotions are well written, including the love between brother and sister, mother and daughter, and the human fireworks hidden deep in the alleys!
