Lin Mo was an ordinary office drone. By chance, he obtained a piece of core code from an “old save file.” Calm and quick-witted, he is forced to understand the world from a programmer’s perspective and excels at exploiting loopholes in the rules. His goal gradually shifts from “protecting himself” to “uncovering the truth” and “protecting the people he cares about.”
Lin Mo discovers that the “System” does not come from the future or a higher-dimensional civilization. It comes from an old version of the worldline that was “deleted”: a string of [world source code] on the verge of collapse.
