Zhu Biao's Great Ming: From Yingtian to the World

Xu Jie, a military strategy expert, transmigrates to the early Ming Dynasty and becomes Crown Prince Zhu Biao’s secret adviser. Seeing that Zhu Biao is benevolent but lacks an iron hand, Xu Jie combines modern technology with political maneuvering: he improves firearms and builds the Divine Engine Battalion, introduces potatoes and corn to end famine, and establishes a maritime bank to fund an ocean-going fleet. He purges the Crown Prince’s court of pedantic Confucians and factional strife, destroys the Northern Yuan royal court in the northern deserts, bombards Japanese pirates in the East China Sea, and even engineers a situation in which European envoys kneel and offer up their maps. Beneath Zhu Biao’s throne, the iron-blooded chancellor Xu Jie keeps his achievements and fame hidden, leaving only a whisper that spreads across the world: “Wherever the sun and moon shine is Ming territory. All who resist shall be killed!”
