The book takes Liuhu Lake on the banks of Ailao Mountain in southern Yunnan as the geographical background. It tells the story of Zhao Lin and Long Qiaogu, the descendants of the Southern Song Dynasty officials, who returned to the world incognito and eventually became immortals with Wang Jin.
