Green Tiles and the River of Stars

Beneath the green tiles of an old Jiangnan residence lies the secret of Shen Zhiwei’s conversations with time. She uses gold as thread and her heart as glaze to restore broken porcelain to its former beauty, unaware that fate has already prepared a reunion for her, one that will bridge the cracks. Lu Mingyuan’s arrival is like starlight suddenly falling into a celadon bowl. He understands the thousand-year-old language of porcelain beneath her fingertips, and protects her through the thorny path fate has laid before them. From family banquet turmoil to career lows, from the gloom of depression to trials of life and death, their love is like the cracks mended with kintsugi, gathering a gentle glow as time passes. The tug-of-war between their parents over who gets to care for the children, and the everyday bustle of having their children gathered around them, fill the courtyard beneath the green tiles with warmth as brilliant as a river of stars. When the light of the restoration studio mingles with the moonlight over the old house, they finally understand: the most moving restoration is love that weathers every storm and still shines through the years.
