My Firsthand Paranormal Encounter

We call them one-legged ghosts. I really did see one when I was little. I was mischievous as a child, and one evening I was playing in the water with my friends in the forest. The river was between us and the one-legged ghost, which was standing on the opposite bank. It saw me and stared at me for a while, then let out three howls. It sounded like a wolf. It had only one leg, with nothing below the knee; the foot was missing. That’s where the name one-legged ghost comes from. It was ugly, just like the zombies in the movie Mr. Vampire Saga, with long, unkempt hair and yellow teeth. I also saw something strapped to its back. I was so scared that I immediately called to my friends and ran home with them. When I told the village elders what I’d seen, they said it was called a one-legged ghost. They’d seen them when they were young, too. There was a cave near the river, and animal fur was scattered around its entrance. Chickens, ducks, and geese often went missing from the village. The elders said that cave was the one-legged ghost’s lair.
