Film and TV Crossover: The Storms Do Not Believe the Lotus Is Frail

Heaven: The wind never believes that the water chestnut’s branches are frail.

Xie Lingjun: Frail, my ass. I’ll make sure the world is free of dust and turmoil.

Xuanye: I dare to make the sun and moon shine on a new world.

This is an original work. No plagiarism. I won’t abandon it, so read with confidence.

First world: Immortal Samsara arc: The Qiang flute plays in the bright day, while water-chestnut songs drift through the night.

Lingjun ✖ Xuanye. Matched in strength, worthy opponents, constantly scheming against each other.

Lingjun: Forget it. I really can’t keep acting. I’m a succubus, after all.

Xuanye: So you’ve been acting this whole time?

Lingjun: Hahahaha, stop pretending. You’ve been doing the same, haven’t you?

Xuanye: Don’t compare me to yourself.

Lingjun: Is that so? (She gives him a playful look.)

Rivals-to-lovers, with a little mutual spite.

Lingjun: I can’t exactly trust you. It’s not as if you really like me, is it?

Xuanye: I do.

For a moment, she froze in surprise, then quickly regained her composure. Her laughter turned even more mocking and unhinged, and she found the whole thing more intriguing than ever.

Lingjun: Hahahaha, no, no. I asked the wrong question.

Lingjun: To you, you matter far more than anyone else. So even if you like someone, you’d sacrifice them without hesitation when your own interests are at stake, right?

To Xuanye’s own surprise, he felt a strange delight. Deep down, he was thrilled. He was being honest, and he didn’t think there was anything unforgivable about it.

Xuanye: I’d hesitate a little, but in the end I’d choose my own interests.

Lingjun, inwardly: What a bastard. I kind of like him.

Lingjun: Likewise.

Realizing you’re a little in love when death is at the door.

Lingjun: The world would be better off if people like us died together.

Xuanye: Shall we join forces? We’d be twice as effective at making trouble for everyone else.

Lingjun: Fine, it’s a deal. You’re my partner.
