The Betrothed Empress Is Marrying Someone Else? Drag Her Back and Make Her Love Me

On that night, when flames consumed the land and Ye Tang drove a dagger into Jun Linyuan’s chest, staining the Eastern Palace with blood, she knew that she and her Crown Prince could never be together again.

Crown Prince Jun Linyuan was a brilliant scholar and warrior, as graceful as an orchid and as beautiful as a jade tree. The greatest scholars across Dayong had poured their efforts into raising him as the heir to the throne. He loved his people like his own children and had an impressive record of achievements. Yet this only aroused his tyrant father’s suspicions, and he was falsely accused of treason. An imperial order to execute him drove him into a desperate corner.

Just as he prepared to fight to the death, the woman he loved broke through the encirclement and stood before him. He had thought she would fight alongside him, but instead she plunged her blade into his heart, dealing him a fatal blow.

Later, he survived the ordeal, fought his way back to the capital, seized control of the court, and took the throne. In just two years, he consolidated imperial power and brought every official to heel.

But when night fell and all was quiet, the wound in his chest turned into thorns, keeping him awake all night.

He was still struggling in the depths of hell. How could that woman marry the man of her dreams and live happily ever after?

After Ye Tang “killed” the Crown Prince and successfully rescued the son of a condemned official, who had been castrated, from the tyrant’s clutches, she took him far from the capital to the borderlands, where they sought refuge with her father and brothers. She then married him, planning to spend the rest of their lives together in peaceful companionship.

Who could have known the new emperor would remain obsessed with the old wound, doing whatever it took to trap her in a cage of his own making?

At the New Year’s Eve state banquet, the main hall was bustling with noise. In the silent rear hall, the young woman’s hair was slightly disheveled as the mad emperor gripped her shoulders and pinned her against the window.

Just then, her former husband’s gentle voice sounded from outside. “A-Tang, are you there?”

Ye Tang’s body trembled violently, but the man still would not let her go. He whispered against her ear, “Don’t pull away. Don’t you dare hide.”
