Have you heard some stories?
Not the stories printed in books, or screamed out loud in movies. I'm talking about another kind, lighter and quieter, like the sound of wind leaking in through the crack of the door.
They are hidden in the muddy eyes of the elderly, in the hesitant instructions of relatives in the countryside, and in a post that is quickly deleted in a late-night online forum.
The beginning of the story is always very ordinary: "I have a friend...", "This is what I heard from my grandma...".
The location of the story also seems familiar to you. Maybe it's a dilapidated village that you drive by but never stop; maybe it's the floor of the old-fashioned residential building you rented that always has a strange smell in the corridor; or maybe it's the last subway you take every day, and there always seems to be one more figure in the reflection of the window than in the car.
These stories are like seeds. Once you hear them, they take root in your heart. They sprout when you walk alone at night, bloom in the darkness before you turn off the lights and go to bed, and bear cold fruit when you stare into the mirror.
They make you wonder, is the "reality" we live in just a thin piece of paper? What is written on the back of the paper?
Don't be afraid, none of this is true.
But what if?
Turn to the next page and listen to the first strange story.
Reader comments
It's scary enough and exciting enough that I can't stop listening to it.
It's such a good book, I don't understand why no one reads it
Very good, although there are some minor problems with the story logic, the storyline is very attractive.
Great book, every story is wonderful! Fascinating!
Has a sense of imagery and is highly immersive
Not bad, I can listen to it. Much better than other horror stories
