The story takes place during the Fifth Holy Grail War. The protagonist, Yuji Sakura, is a second-rate mage. Her father took part in one of the Holy Grail Wars. For some reason, she ends up in the basement of the Fifth War and touches a magic circle. Somehow, she summons a Heroic Spirit: the Lancer-class Hegemon-King of Western Chu, Xiang Yu. (The real historical Xiang Yu didn’t know anything about Fate lore. I just like their stories.)
