Jian Yijie, a top student in the archaeology department at Anbei University, accidentally activates a massive bronze cauldron engraved with strange star-chart patterns, along with its key, during an archaeological excavation. He is sent through time and takes possession of Xian, the son of the High Priest Zhen. Through divination, King Di Yi of Shang and the High Priest Zhen foresee the danger of their dynasty's collapse, as well as a faint glimmer of hope. Strangely, that hope points east and is closely connected to Jian Yijie, this "visitor from beyond the heavens." Forced to join an expedition into the unknown lands of the East, he searches for the elusive "turning point" that may determine whether the Yin-Shang dynasty survives.
