I prefer "Mr. Gu's Kitten" to the original title.
Jiang Yuning is a time-travelling woman. She is not here to compete with the original heroine for resources or the male protagonist. But for Gu Yanchen, her Mr. Gu. She can fight for him against her brother-in-law who loves her, fight against public opinion, shield him from the gun, and carry her husband on a snowy night... She has a golden finger, but she can give up this golden finger for Mr. Gu. She is not a love brain, but knows what she wants.
Gu Yanchen is the little cannon fodder in the book, the helper of the male protagonist's brother. He is not favored by anyone. Only Jiang Yuning catches him, so he can risk his life for her. He is a scheming green tea man, but only for her, and a super clingy little puppy, only for her. It's not that he's incapable, he just wants to pester her.
Wen Jinghe is Jiang Yuning's official concubine in the original novel. He is a brother-in-law and a perfect young uncle. However, Jiang Yuning does not love him and he is not her protagonist.
