The Entertainment Mogul Who Knows How to Handle Meng Yancheng

[Rising entertainment mogul and CEO Bai Yu × reserved, stoic heir Meng Yancheng]

[One-on-one romance, both leads have no past relationships, childhood friends, power couple, unrequited love]

Everyone in their circle knows Bai Yu is a force to be reckoned with. In the three years since returning to China, she has built Yufeng Entertainment from the ground up. Her eye for talent is so sharp that whoever she promotes becomes a star, yet she takes a particular interest in the Meng family's affairs.

All because she's Madam Meng's goddaughter, Xu Qin's “Sister Yu,” and the “little sister” Meng Yancheng has known since childhood.

At first, Bai Yu thinks Meng Yancheng has eyes only for Xu Qin. Xu Qin's relationship with Song Yan has caused endless strife with her family, so he keeps turning to Bai Yu for advice.

“You don't approve of Qin Qin being with Song Yan either?”

“What are you going to do about Qin Qin?”

Bai Yu always manages to handle things calmly, counseling Xu Qin on one hand and reassuring Madam Meng on the other.

As time goes by, Bai Yu realizes that Meng Yancheng doesn't seem to come to her only because of Xu Qin.

“I want to ask you... why do you dislike me so much?”

“Why are you avoiding me?”

“Are you happier now?”

“My mom asked me if I like you.”

“I didn't deny it.”

Only then does Bai Yu suddenly realize that the ice king has already melted for her. Meng Yancheng has always been watching her, waiting for her to turn around and look at him.

Warning: This story takes major liberties with the original. Major liberties, major liberties!!! The setting doesn't fully follow the original plot, so you can think of it as a parallel world with Bai Yu in it! There are also plenty of original character details. Don't read if that's not your thing!
