Lord Marquis, Stop Kneeling. Your Lady Is Carrying the Dragon Heir

[An emotionally detached male lead + love at first sight + a heroine who refuses to forgive him + a scumbag’s road to redemption + raising a child + awful parents]

[A sharp-tongued, contrary, emotionally detached emperor × a calm, decisive heroine with a kind heart]

On the second day after Shen Cixing married into the marquis’s household, the young marquis, Xie Luchen, brought her younger sister and knelt before her. “Cixing, I had no choice. A Xu is carrying my child.”

Her parents also blamed her for being unreasonable. Shen Cixing acted as if she didn’t care, but then went to a brothel, where she unexpectedly slept with a man.

The man was none other than the emperor, the supreme ruler of the realm. Not a single consort in his harem had ever conceived.

But just two days later, Shen Cixing threw up all over the place.

A rumor spread among the people: “Hey, have you heard? One of His Majesty’s consorts is pregnant.”

“Wait, wasn’t the emperor supposed to be fated to have no sons?”

“Who knows? I think her name is… Shen Cixing?”

With a crash, the cup beside Xie Luchen fell to the floor. “What did you say her name was?”

In the bedchamber, the supreme emperor was feeding sweet treats to the beauty in his arms. At the commotion outside, he gave a soft, mocking laugh. “My beloved consort, your lawful husband is kneeling outside.”

Shen Cixing pouted, her voice full of grievance. “I had no choice either. What can I do when I’m carrying Your Majesty’s child?”

A eunuch’s voice came from outside the hall: “Marquis, please stop kneeling. Your wife is carrying the imperial heir and needs to rest.”
