Meng Academy: The Dark Star's Hidden Flame

“If fate has decreed that I love you, then I’ll tear fate apart with my own hands and take you back.”

On the first day of school at The Magic Star Academy, You Yan, the Dark Emperor’s most powerful spirit stone, takes the form of a transfer student named Li An, bringing with her a chill sharp enough to pierce the starry sea. Her mission is to infiltrate, deceive, and kill the Naiya Princess.

But from the very first day, she falls for Mi Yaxing, the boy who can read minds yet cannot glimpse a single bit of her true feelings.

She stays up late with him to investigate cases and shields him from out-of-control flames. He sneaks into the restricted section of the library for her, then places his one birthday wish in her palm beneath the fireworks.

When trust and love grow into vines, Li An realizes she has already turned the most lethal blade against herself.

The day her identity is exposed, she stands opposite the Moe Knights, smiling more bitterly than she could ever cry. “Mi Yaxing, kill me. It’s the only way you can survive.”

Later, the clock tower at The Magic Star Academy falls and is rebuilt, while the wisteria outside the library withers and blooms again.

Every student remembers that there was once a blue-eyed transfer student who, with the last of her strength beneath a sky ablaze with blue light, kissed the trembling fingertips of the Wisdom Star.

No one knows that when the bells ring again, the silver ring on Mi Yaxing’s left hand will refract the same shade of deep blue beneath the sunlight.

It was the last lie she left the world, and the first true feeling in their story:

“Li, as in dawn. An, as in familiar.

This time, don’t forget me again.”
