Su Li was a veteran Saniwa who found solace in the game Touken Ranbu. She poured her heart and soul into building a home hailed as a “dream Honmaru,” and formed deep bonds with the Touken Danshi who lived there.
But those deep bonds became bait in a trap. After an abnormal login following a game update, her most trusted starter sword, Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, crossed the barrier between reality and the virtual world. Bearing an indescribable pain and grim resolve, he forcibly dragged her into a fully tangible Honmaru.
Her joy was fleeting. Konnosuke, the Time Government's coldly impassive representative, told her the cruel truth: her physical body had become the foundation that kept this space in existence, while her soul and spiritual power were the perpetual-motion engine of this splendid prison. She had gone from a lord who gave life to the swords to a prisoner held captive by her own power.
What broke her heart even more was that most of the Touken Danshi who carried out the summoning had been kept in the dark. They had become part of the invisible shackles imprisoning her. Yamanbagiri Kunihiro was consumed by self-loathing, while the anger and protectiveness of swords like Kashuu Kiyomitsu threatened to set the Honmaru ablaze. Meanwhile, thousand-year-old swords like Mikazuki Munechika began to coldly examine the cracks in this “perfect prison.”
