The Moth's Tale

Two male leads + angsty romance + intelligent characters + no perfect characterizations + male author. A brand-new story, fresh off the press! Come read my work on Tomato Novel. I hope you enjoy it. Your support keeps me writing, and I'll do my best to tell every story well!

In ancient times, moths had neither souls nor spirits. By good fortune, one received the soul of the Buddha Bukong. To repay this kindness, it was willing to vanish into nothingness. The moth repaid the kindness by burning to ash; the Buddha repaid the love by abandoning Buddhahood and shattering his heart.

Main plot: To find the moth, the Buddha Bukong gives up his position as a Buddha. His eight incarnations and the little moth journey together through the Eight Sufferings of the mortal world.

Secondary plot: The Lady Houtu transforms into the cycle of reincarnation, and the underworld rises to power.
