Chosen by the Azure Dragon Goddess to become the new Dragon Seed, Mairen seeks to repay her kindness by helping her ascend to the rank of a Chief God and attain the realm of Taiyi. He travels through randomly appearing portals to the Ziwei Starfield, where he must kindle the sacred flame.
But the Ziwei Starfield is full of danger and doesn’t play by the rules of level progression. Mairen often runs into enemies dozens of levels above him, and this brutal environment has killed him time and again.
Under the soulslike mechanics, when Mairen dies, his level resets and his equipment disappears. Only his experience and memories remain. He returns to the original portal and is sent at random to another location. Time in the Ziwei Starfield resets with each death, and his companions lose their memories every time. How will Mairen face such daunting challenges and kindle the sacred flame?
