[Period Story · Family Feuds]
A small northern village in the 1970s.
Widow Ma struggles to raise her two daughters, barely scraping by. Her elder daughter, Zhang Min, marries a teacher, and at last the family has enough to eat.
But who knew that every mouthful would burn all the way down?
Her teacher husband treats his in-laws with great care to their faces, but behind their backs he behaves abominably. The younger daughter is so young and frightened that she doesn't even dare go home. The elder daughter is pregnant, crying out for help with no one to answer. Even her own mother takes the son-in-law's side, afraid he'll walk away if pushed too far.
No one will listen to reason, and no one will step in when she makes a fuss.
Zhang Min can't swallow this anymore.
She stops making a scene. She starts keeping her eyes open.
On the day of the public trial, she takes something out, and the whole village falls silent...
[A story about how an ordinary woman keeps her conscience and lives with dignity through hard times.]
Yes, the storyline is deeply rooted in people's hearts
The story is exciting and beautiful, but also very sad and helpless.
Is it the distortion of human nature or the loss of morality? It's worth watching.
This book is very nice
