Great Ming: Your Majesty! The Number One Scholar's Dish Is Here

Master Chef Li Yu transmigrates into the Ming Dynasty as a sickly poor scholar. The moment he opens his eyes, he’s facing a nightmare scenario: sell the family’s fields to buy medicine! Luckily, the [Chef System] comes online

Ten thousand strings of cash? One bowl of braised offal makes him the talk of the county government! Framed by the Liu faction? His poached cabbage wins over the prince’s household! Censors call him lowborn? After slurping down the noodles Li Yu made for the imperial exam, the emperor declares, “This is a man of true national talent!” The Wanli Emperor is shaken: a poor-born top scholar takes charge of the imperial kitchen, stir-fried noodles save the frontier army, and sweet potatoes feed the people! The Liu faction flips the table: “He’s wielding a spatula like the imperial sword!” Li Yu sneers: “Gentlemen, do you know that governing a country is like cooking a small fish?”

From a cold stove and a broken pot to overseeing the empire’s granaries as head of the Food Supervision Office; from the examinations for scholars to becoming a mentor to three emperors, he fills the Ming court with the aroma of cooking. “Your Majesty, the realm you ordered is now simmering to perfection over a carefully controlled flame!”
