The Beloved One from the Start, Yet I Have to Rely on Myself

[Sharp-tongued, innocent genius girl vs. calculating, mature young man]

They say, “One glance can decide your fate.” That saying comes vividly to life for Su Li and Xu Qiyou.

Raised with every indulgence, Su Li meets Xu Qiyou, who couldn't care less about her. He strips away much of her confidence and sharpness, but also helps her become a better version of herself.

As they grow closer, Su Li quietly discovers why Xu Qiyou is so solitary and cold. The days she spends lost in the abyss, enduring its thorns, turn her into someone just like him.

“Long time no see. So this is where you've been. I've been looking for you for ages.”

“Not that long. I've been here all along, waiting for you to notice me.”

Years later, Su Li asks Xu Qiyou if he regrets it.

Xu Qiyou is silent for a long time, then clasps her hand tightly. “Never.”

Even if she never knew, he would still gladly lay all his passion before her. But he is lucky: from now on, she will always be there.
