He joins the Great Xia government organization, the Soul Reapers, and uses their channels to devour ghosts and monsters.
From then on, the Soul Reapers gain an enforcer who never leaves anyone alive.
One day, Su Yu writes in his journal: “The Painted-Skin Ghost’s flesh is firm and chewy, perfect with pickled peppers. The Ox-Head Ghost has tender meat, perfect for pouring over rice. The Water Ghost has strong limbs and chewy flesh, perfect for braising...”
On the fifteenth night of the seventh lunar month, the gates of hell swing wide. Countless ghosts descend upon Great Xia, and the whole world panics.
Crouched atop a mountain, Su Yu watches the ghostly road open in the sky and drools uncontrollably. “Heh heh heh, what kind of mysterious food delivery entrance is this?”
Ghosts: “What is wrong with Su Yu?”
This novel is a no-brainer speed read, with a fast pace, no leveling, and no frustration. Xiaobai's writing style, plot, and character creation are all good, making people feel really comfortable, and the pressure on them has been somewhat relieved. Kill decisively, don't push the opponent too hard, there is no nonsense plot, just go up and do it. A very classic and refreshing article, highly recommended.
