Dragon Raja 1: A Long Song from the Ashes

A pair of vertical pupils burning with crimson-gold flames suddenly lit up in the endless darkness.

An icy, searing torrent crashed through the dam of your consciousness in an instant. Wild power surged and roared through your veins, and your vision was stained a frenzied red. The last thread of reason snapped, replaced by a dragon's savage instinct to kill.

The last thing you remembered was driving the dagger, charged with all your rage and hatred, into the heart of that enormous dragon.

The enraged dragon's body stiffened. Golden blood poured out like lava, and then it began to disintegrate. Amid the scattering scales and ashes, the dragon's ferocious face faded, gradually revealing the familiar face beneath.

The golden flames in his eyes were rapidly dimming. The Dragon King's authority and hatred receded like the tide, replaced by a human's confusion and exhaustion.

His lips moved with great difficulty, and a hoarse voice drifted toward you...

You held her long-cold body in your arms, standing amid the ashes drifting from the sky. The wind swept across the wilderness, stirring the ashes and carrying away the last trace of warmth.

You stood there for a long time, until your legs went numb, until the blood-red sun sank below the horizon and stained the world a dark red, like congealed blood.
