Ghost King Xuan Ze was originally the spirit of the Netherworld, but because the Netherworld was incomplete, he was powerless to protect even his own ghostly domain.
To complete the Netherworld, Xuan Ze found the last fragment of its power. But to reclaim it, he had to enter the worlds shaped by vengeful spirits' obsessions and save them, thereby releasing the Netherworld's power.
