The Stars Above Are Beyond My Reach

Synopsis of Starfall: Beyond Reach On a stormy night, modern-day girl Mu Jiuyao is caught in a bizarre car accident. Her phone's Startrack app flashes a warning: "Interdimensional passage opening." Starlight appears on her arm, and the Milky Way sweeps her into another world. When she wakes, Mu Jiuyao finds herself on the Tianxuan Continent, surrounded by the smell of herbs and blood. She also hears people discussing how the original owner of her body, a good-for-nothing, hasn't died after all. Using the body's muscle memory, she gets up and forms a hand seal, then confirms that she has transmigrated by checking a bronze mirror and a jade slip. Stranger still, her phone can charge under the moonlight, and the star-shaped mark on her wrist flashes with every breath. Three young women barge in to demand starfall ore, attacking her with whips. Mu Jiuyao instinctively counters with a side kick from her taekwondo training. The star mark suddenly glows blue, and the attackers flee at the sight of the "Star Maiden's mark." She escapes to a forbidden mountain forest, where her phone's flashlight somehow disrupts the bronze puppet guards. When she touches a stone tablet engraved with "Yaoguang Formation: Trespassers will perish," her phone grows hot, and the stars in the night sky turn into a waterfall of light. Amid the cascade of light, Mu Jiuyao is taken to Starfall Peak, where she meets the gaze of Mo Chenxuan. Their consciousnesses mingle. Mo Chenxuan sees a swirling galaxy in her eyes, while her phone displays a 99.9% DNA match with him. Memories sealed away three hundred years ago begin to stir. After the starfall, Mu Jiuyao discovers a new folder in her phone's gallery containing a photo of someone in a matching hoodie, seen from behind and flashing a V sign. A prompt also appears: "Activate memory replay mode?" Just then, the bells summon everyone at the Xuantian Sect. Ancient writing appears on the hem of the clothes by her feet: "Welcome home, test subject 09." Her adventure in this strange world has officially begun.
