A Broadcasting Student's Quest to Find Your Voice

Top-tier voice-acting star × a girl who bravely pursues the voice she loves

He is an unmatched voice star in broadcasting, his voice so seductive that she has been captivated by it since middle school, listening to it on repeat for countless nights and days.

After finally working up the courage to stand before him, all she gets is his cold scrutiny: “Your voice is showy, but has no soul.”

His chilly remark, “You’d be better off in the acting department,” leaves her budding dream bleeding from the wound.

But she refuses to give up. His voice has been etched into her entire youth, after all.

She gives it everything she has and finally becomes his personal apprentice. At last, he reveals his protective side, stepping coldly in front of her when she is bullied. “She’s my student. No one else gets to criticize her.”

But little by little, that no longer feels like enough for her.

One evening, she steals a kiss while he sleeps, only to be caught in the act.

He demands coldly, “Chen Qingru, you’re only my student.”

With red-rimmed eyes, she stubbornly replies, “But I don’t want to be… only your student.”

Later, she makes a name for herself through her talent, and many gifted men in the voice-acting world invite her to work with them. Her world is no longer made up of him alone.

But, using drunkenness as an excuse, he pins her behind a door, his voice hoarse and out of control:

“Didn’t you say you only liked my voice? Why are you seeing other people?”

“Qingru… I regret it.”

“Don’t leave your teacher… okay?”

[Older man, ten years older than the heroine; slow-burn writing, with angst, sweetness, and a helpful matchmaker. The main focus is the romance between the leads, with other storylines too.]
