“What if King Zhou of Shang wasn’t a tyrant, but an empty shell possessed by the ‘Ten Suns’? What if oracle-bone script wasn’t used for divination, but was a code imprisoning the gods? Would you dare open this history book and tear apart three thousand years of Heaven’s Mandate?” The Dark Bird Falls, the Suns Plunge: The Hundred-Character Lodestone
At midnight, the Huan River runs dry, and ten suns hang over Yin Ruins at once.
In full view of everyone, King Di Xin melts bronze with his bare hands and spits meteor fire. Queen Fu Hao’s headless body sits up in her tomb and reattaches her head to her bronze neck.
From a blank oracle bone, the great diviner Zi Xian hears a future archaeological team calling his name.
They all say the Dark Bird is coming back. This time, it will not descend to give birth to Shang, but fall as the suns destroy the world.
The 24 hours never recorded in the history books are rewriting everything we know about the past. The Dark Bird Falls, the Suns Plunge: A Three-Part Hook
1. A mystery that explodes
At midnight, a live broadcast begins as archaeologists open a coffin in excavation pit T53 at Yin Ruins. But on camera appears Zi Xian, a diviner from three thousand years ago, pointing a smartphone flashlight at the lens. The comments explode, and the entire archaeological team goes missing.
2. A myth overturned
“From the heavens came the Dark Bird, which descended and gave birth to Shang” is a Zhou dynasty lie. The truth is that the Dark Bird is the embodiment of the Ten Suns, nesting in the flesh and blood of the royal family and hatching once every three hundred years. King Zhou is merely the vessel for its hatching.
3. A closed loop in time
Zi Xian must kill his “future self” within 24 hours. Otherwise, at noon on July 25, 2024, the Dark Bird will simultaneously detonate ten miniature suns across the globe.
And the only one who can stop him is the long-dead queen, already without a head: Fu Hao.
History is not the past. It is the future catching up with us.
