Healing, goofy heroine vs. tsundere, pure-hearted (?) villain: Yu Yingnan brings her modern mindset and goofy personality to bear, winning over Green Robe in all sorts of unexpected ways, such as giving him the nickname “Little Green,” bribing him with hot pot seasoning, and teaching him cheesy pickup lines. The contrast is impossibly adorable.

Yu Yingnan, hands on her hips: This time around, I’m going to cure that tsundere streak of yours! Green Robe, give me a smile!

Green Robe, coldly drawing his sword: ...Get lost.

Yu Yingnan, clinging to him: No! I’m going to roam the jianghu and uphold justice with you. We’ll be a legendary couple! We’ll call ourselves Hero Yu and Hero Green!

Green Robe, the tips of his ears turning red: ...Absurd!

Just as Yu Yingnan’s modern goofball therapy, including forcing them to team up, showering him with praise, and having late-night heart-to-hearts, gradually cracks Green Robe’s defenses, and the two become the fearsome (?) “Demonic Duo” of the jianghu, a BUG drops from the sky! A swordsman calling himself Li Xiaoyao bursts through the air, wailing that his Ling’er has disappeared!

Yu Yingnan, dumbfounded: Li Xiaoyao? The Legend of Sword and Fairy? Hey, did you take a wrong turn into another show?

Green Robe, on guard: This man’s aura is strange. He may be a demon from beyond the realms!

System, garbled voice: Bzzzt... Detecting... Nuwa’s descendant... Zhao Linger... coordinates lost... Bzzzt... initiating... cross-book search... Bzzzt...

And so Yu Yingnan, who had only wanted to enjoy a peaceful life and romance, and Green Robe, dragged into the job against his will, have no choice but to follow a sobbing Li Xiaoyao into the fantastical world of The Legend of Sword and Fairy, embarking on a hilarious (?) adventure to find (kidnap) Zhao Linger.
