[Weaponsmithing master, sharp-minded, easygoing optimist and heroine He Shiyu VS fluffy little black rabbit, aloof, distant, scheming type and hero Mo Qingshan; an ensemble with a passionate, heroic feel]
In the tenth year of Yuankun, the Qian Kingdom had been mired in a decade of chaos ever since the Huo Family Army betrayed the nation and suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Jinyi people at the northern Mogu Pass ten years ago.
Natural disasters plagued the land, while turmoil and warfare raged in the north, southeast, and southwest. The court raised taxes year after year, leaving the people in misery.
With no new generation of military commanders and a feeble army, the Qian court suffered defeat after defeat abroad, retreating again and again. At home, it was powerless to root out rampant bandits and the countless factions entrenched in the mountains.
Ten years slipped by. The empire teetered on the brink of collapse, with storms brewing on the horizon.
