Corpse Driver: From the Start, I Revived the Terracotta Army to Guard the Nation's Gates

On the surface, Lin Yan is a sharp-tongued history student who takes on everything from the world at large to foreign trash. In secret, he is a modern-day corpse-driving master carrying the Underworld's National Fortune System! An accident binds him to the most murderous General Terracotta Warrior in the Qin Mausoleum, awakening an ancient inheritance. His corpse-driving art goes far beyond controlling zombies: awakening the heroic spirits of China, sleeping for millennia, is his true specialty!

When the Western “Holy Light Knights” collude with the “Eye of the Arcane” to pollute a dragon-vein node on Mount Li under the pretext of archaeology, China is in peril! Lin Yan flies into a rage, shakes the Soul-Calming Bell, raises the Spirit-Summoning Banner, and roars to the heavens: “Brave Qin warriors, fight for your country! We’ll fight until the last drop of blood, and never stop until we’re dead! Terracotta Army, awaken!”

The earth shakes! Countless terracotta warriors in the museum burst out of their clay shells, their bronze skeletons blazing with eerie blue soulfire. Their battle formations are immaculate, their murderous aura reaches the heavens, and they cross space to descend upon the battlefield! And this is only the beginning! Champion Marquis Huo Qubing’s cavalry tramples the malevolent spirits of the northern frontier, Yue Fei’s righteous spirit sweeps away evil, and the Killing God Bai Qi’s swordlight annihilates powerful foes! Then there are Xing Tian, wielding his shield and battle-axe, and Yingzhao, tearing through the void: the first displays of the power of mythological projections!

His sharp tongue and scheming nature are an attitude, captured in the line, “I’m off to send those foreign lords to their graves.” Protecting China is his conviction. Anyone who insults its heroic spirits, steals its national treasures, or violates its dragon veins will face a thunderous reprisal, no matter how far away they are! From resurrecting the Terracotta Army to face down Western supernatural forces, to purging demons in the Underworld and quelling rebellion, all the way to defending the Star-Sea Great Wall against extraterrestrial evil gods... Lin Yan has found all sorts of inventive uses for his corpse-driving art: water ghosts become river cleaners, bronze corpses become construction fanatics, and Underworld high-speed trains run between yin and yang!
