This book uses six female protagonists with completely different personalities to connect detective stories spanning the late Qing Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty, the Republic of China, the 1990s and the present day. Each volume revolves around one person, and the surface of the case and the woman's personal growth are intertwined and advanced simultaneously. The cases between volumes echo each other, and history and reality are intertwined. In the process of investigating murder cases, serial disappearances, supernatural events and other reasoning processes, the protagonists break through the limitations of the times, face social and psychological shadows, and respond to each other in time and space.
