[Western fantasy + low magic + war + domain-building + land redistribution]
Sonier looked at the crowd of “vagrants” and “farmers,” as the noble lords called them, and began performing stand-up comedy. He started with a few jokes that had the audience roaring with laughter, then talked about his own experience: “Actually, I’m just like all of you. I was born a freeman, and I planned to become a priest. The priest took my money and then turned his back on me.”
Seeing the good-natured teasing in the audience’s eyes, Sonier continued, “Still, there’s nothing wrong with not becoming a priest. Even if I had, my family couldn’t have afforded to put me through seminary.”
Then Sonier changed the subject. He talked about falling incomes, all the new taxes the lord had recently imposed, the harvest, and the lord’s ban on fishing.
The lighthearted mood instantly vanished. The farmers stared wide-eyed at the man before them.
“Do you know how much a loaf of black bread costs now? Fifty copper marks.”
“I don’t think the world should be this way.”
(The author used to be a serf in another world and promises to make this as realistic as possible.)
Too little, not enough to see, 👍👍👍👍
It's okay, the rest of it is quite exciting, and it's better than other online articles of the same type.
It's very well written. I don't know why so few people read it. Good luck, author.
The author really writes well, with concise writing style and particularly brilliant character creation.
The protagonist is really smart and calm in situations, very good!!!
The pace is very fast, the beginning is very exciting, one chapter after another
The author's writing style is very mature. The first book is written so well. It's amazing!!!
It's obviously fantasy, but it has a hint of realism
The author's writing is good and the story is wonderful!!
Although it is labeled as fantasy, it is written very realistically and has a strong sense of immersion. It's really not easy for the protagonist to survive in a different world
