During the days when the red fog shrouded the world for a long time, the apocalypse became a hunting ground for fog beasts and sweepers - the survivors huddled in the shelter in the east of the city, surviving on scarce water sources and emergency lights, while the sweepers were using the "mother fog core" as bait in an attempt to pollute the city's dragon-like water source network.
Since the beginning of the story, Lin Ye has traveled through the red mist with a detector, intercepted mysterious anonymous signals at the communication tower, and met Su Xiao in the purification area. Su Xiao took the recordings left by her father to pursue clues about "other survivors". The two had fought against the sweepers many times and witnessed the cruelty of the fog beasts devouring lives.
