Cheng Nuan is a short-tempered gaming streamer. By day, she works as a planner at an advertising agency; by night, she streams games. Her motto is, “If I can hit you, why waste words?” Then she gets repeatedly crushed in-game by the mysterious expert “Han Jiangxue,” and, in real life, her proposal is rejected in front of everyone by the client’s representative, Xu Mo, the upperclassman she’s had a crush on for three years. The double blow sets her off on the spot.
To her surprise, “Han Jiangxue” messages her privately and reveals that he’s actually “Mose,” the illustrator she admires most. Cheng Nuan instantly turns into a devoted fan and rushes to team up with him for a tournament. Meanwhile, in real life, she and Xu Mo are forced to work together on a project. They clash at every turn, yet work together with uncanny ease. Online, the gentle and considerate “Han Jiangxue” stays up late with her to revise proposals; offline, the sharp-tongued, demanding Xu Mo “just happens” to bring her coffee and late-night snacks. Cheng Nuan gradually falls for him, then discovers to her horror that she seems to be in love with two people at once!
When Xu Mo’s phone lights up at the victory banquet with the custom emoji she sent to “Han Jiangxue,” Cheng Nuan’s world collapses. She runs out into the rain, not knowing Xu Mo has been secretly in love with her for years, and even chose the game ID “Han Jiangxue” for her: “I fish alone in the snowy cold river, and I’ve been waiting for you all along.”
A sweet trap starring “a feisty penguin and a fox who knows how to reel you in.” From online to offline, in this game of mistaken identities, who is the prey?
