The "Osmanthus Blossoms Bloom Everywhere in August" that we sing today did not come out of thin air. It was born in 1929 when the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Revolutionary Base Area was established. At that time, the Northeast Hubei Special Committee of the Communist Party of China passed the "Resolution on the Soviet Issue", and Ziyun District of Huang'an County took the lead in establishing the Soviet government. In the context of the general establishment of grassroots political power, in order to celebrate this historic victory, Luo Yinqing composed the lyrics to the tune of the Dabie Mountain folk song "Ba Duan Jin". Wang Jichu adapted it when he was on the steps of Banzhu Garden, watching the grand meeting of the Red Army; it was Lin Chunlan who taught the women to sing and sew military shoes; it was Wang Xiaohong who risked his life and used it as a communication code; it was only through the protection of countless people with their lives that it spread to this day.
