When time begins to decay, only those who can hear the "ticks" can mend the world.
Chen Mo, a down-and-out caretaker of a century-old clock tower, opens a door on a rainy night that should not exist. Beyond it lies the frozen "flow of time": the city's forgotten tears, unfinished vows, and childhood toys crushed to pieces... All become dying "ticks," wailing in the void.
A mysterious diary guides him to become a "Listener of Time," while the arrival of reporter Lin Yue draws them both into a war that spans reality. An organization calling itself the "Memory Collectors" is systematically stripping people of their memories and forging the "ticks" into amber that imprisons time. Deeper within the ancient clock tower, a cosmic annihilation known as the "Eternal Erosion" also lies in wait. It seeks to drag history, the future, and existence itself into eternal "nothingness."
Armed with a pocket watch capable of mending "ticks," Chen Mo and Lin Yue embark on a desperate mission to save time:
• In the burning archives, they face the "Void Furnace," which extracts memories.
• In the Hall of Pure Ticks, they battle the "Historian," who alters time.
• At last, in the void at the end of time, they wield "the possibility of life" as a blade and strike at ultimate oblivion...
What they mend is not only the past, but every future that has yet to be written.
