New to this chaotic age, Ji Wantang witnesses the invading forces' atrocities of burning, killing, and looting. While helping the wounded, she triggers the “Save the Nation Sign-in System.” Her first sign-in earns her a first-aid kit and basic medical knowledge.
She risks her life to save Chu Yuanheng, a young officer gravely wounded in battle, and treats him with supplies from the sign-in. The two begin to trust each other as they flee.
