[Crime Solving] [Mystery] [Feel-Good Fun] [Comedy]
This is a fictional world. Please don't compare it to real history.
The moment he opens his eyes, Li Zhengfeng finds himself a disgraced, unlucky constable in Chang'an,
tied up like a bundle by salt smugglers and on the verge of meeting his end!
With no way out, he pretends to surrender, then snatches a knife and brutally kills the leader of the Azure Dragon Gang,
while rescuing his cool, beautiful female superior in the process.
But she turns around and accuses Li Zhengfeng of murder: “This man is a killer!”
Trying to make me your scapegoat?
Then don't blame me for being ruthless!
Li Zhengfeng drags her into the mess and forces her to swear loyalty alongside him:
“From now on, you're one of mine. Don't even think about getting out of this clean!”
Using a modern mindset and unconventional investigative methods, Li Zhengfeng not only clears his name,
but also brings down a major salt-smuggling case and gets his old job back.
From then on, Chang'an has a devious, unpredictable “Yama Constable”:
When investigating cold cases, I take an unexpected approach;
When battling corrupt officials, I use crafty tactics;
When unraveling a mystery, I strike at its weakest point!
From a low-ranking clerk to the man in charge of criminal justice,
from being scorned to wielding power over the entire court,
I've never taken the ordinary road!
This is the tale of an insignificant constable who carefully advances through the Tang Dynasty, turning the tides and stirring up a storm!
