Traveling Backwards in Time

"Time Travel" tells the story of Lin Yan, a graduate student in the Department of Modern Physics, who was involved in the turbulence of time and space by an ancestral bronze compass due to a laboratory accident, and traveled to the "Dajing", an fictional dynasty similar to the intersection of the Tang and Song Dynasties. Lin Yan, armed with modern knowledge and a damaged compass, was caught in a border war when he first arrived in another world. He managed to gain a foothold with his knowledge of physics and mechanics, but was soon involved in a dispute between two mysterious forces - the "timekeepers" who maintain the order of time and space and the "timebreakers" who attempt to tamper with history. He got acquainted with Su Mingyue, the daughter of the Minister of Civil Affairs, who hid a secret, and Ye Qingyu, an upright and loyal border general. The three of them formed an alliance in the dynastic power struggle and the pursuit of time and space forces. While searching for clues to repair the compass, they also revealed the true purpose of the two organizations. When the third prince, Zhao Heng, colluded with those who went against the times and used modern weapons to launch a palace coup, Lin Yan was forced to make a choice between "returning to modernity" and "protecting the world in front of him." In the end, he stabilized time and space with the energy of the compass, gave up his return, used knowledge to promote the development of Dajing, became a "balancer" connecting the two eras, and found his own sense of belonging in a strange time and space. The story combines time and space travel, power struggle and technological collision. In the process of showing the protagonist adapting to a different world and fighting against crises, it explores the deeper meaning of "hometown" and "destination".
