After Lin Chen, a corporate wage slave, is framed and fired, he unexpectedly awakens to the power of cultivation while rescuing an old woman at a convenience store. Armed with the Azure Origin Cultivation Manual left by his grandfather, he launches an outrageous comeback in the CBD: his coworkers mistake his alchemy for brewing trendy milk tea, he uses spiritual power to fix computers faster than IT, and he makes short work of office bullies and street thugs.
When cultivation collides with the 996 work grind, and spiritual energy shatters the usual urban routine, the once-poor scapegoat gradually becomes a mysterious big shot in the CBD. Watch as he uses cultivation to escape workplace woes and put bizarre coworkers in their place, while making sure everyone knows: don't mess with the man who always carries a thermos. It might be full of Foundation Establishment Pills!
